BS in Surgical Technology is a four-year bachelor programme aims to develop surgical management of patients. Surgical technologists are the integral members of surgical team. They possess knowledge and skills in sterile and aseptic techniques, including the very wide range of surgical instruments they may need. A surgical technologist, also called a scrub, scrub tech, surgical technician, or operating room technician, is an Allied health professional working as a part of the team delivering surgical care throughout the surgical procedures.

CAREER PROSPECTS
The demand for surgical technologists has increased considerably in recent times. Surgical technologists work in the operation theater under the supervision of consultant surgeons to assist surgeries.
By the completion of BS Surgical program, they can apply the knowledge and skills of handling operation theatre rooms to provide safe and effective care to individuals undergoing surgical procedures.
Presently surgical technologists are working in various Government/Private hospitals, national/international organizations in the capacity of OT Manager services, Surgical assistant to consultant Surgeons, and other surgical related procedures.
